What is Medication-Assisted Treatment (mat)?
Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) gives you another avenue for overcoming your dependence to alcohol or drugs through the use of doctor-prescribed medications, such as suboxone or vivitrol injections. MAT works in conjunction with other forms of therapy such as counseling, group therapy, and behavioral therapy.
We utilize MAT to help patients recover from dependence to opioids, such as heroin and prescription pain relievers. Keep in mind that medication is not a primary treatment at Shore Clinical TMS & Wellness Center, however when used with other types of treatments, it can be effective in helping you overcome your dependency.

Co-occurring substance use disorder
