Jose R. Zuniga is a local of Atlantic City who majored in psychology and minored in sociology at ACCC before transferring to Rutgers University-New Brunswick where he majored in psychology and minored in chemistry with a background in pre-med. Along with graduating summa cum laude from both schools, Jose also served as the vice president of the Rewrites Literacy Club of ACCC, interned at Rutgers UHBC where he worked with adolescents with behavioral/emotional conditions, taught STEM to young students as an assistant teacher in the USTEM non-profit, participated in research studying the patterns of animal learning, took notes for Rutgers students with disabilities, and is currently enrolled in Data Science for All to become a data analyst. His underlying philosophy is that the person you were before or who are now does not define who you will be in the future, and via effort and support, everyone can become their best self, and his goal is simply to be a part of that support.
